Makayla's First Flight!! And one last flight with Zach under 2!

We headed to Grandma & Poppops since they live only a couple hours away from one of Blake's projects in Durham, NC

We had fun playing (especially Grandma!) during the week while Blake went back to work

Zach swung in his first big boy swing! (We won't mention how he ended up toppling out of it cause he was intensely watching some other kids)

So we went back to the little kid swing!

Makayla really got smiling a lot while we were there!

Zach and Poppops spent many days outside learning the game of golf!

And we happened to be there over Zach's birthday so he got another party/cake!

There were balloons EVERYWHERE! He was in heaven

We went to Mill Mountain Zoo one day

It was a fairly small zoo but Zach had a blast

Grandma & Zach riding the train

And it's tradition now for Zach to play with Poppops hats

Grandma talking sweet to Miss Makayla (Zach supervising)

Newspaper hat modeled by Zachary and created by Poppops

Snuggling with Poppops before night night

And Zach discovered the hose! Check out that mischevious grin!

He had a blast spraying Grandma & chasing her around the yard!

We also went to the Salem fair

Cool Lego figures

He was a 1/2 inch too short for all the rides to do alone so he & Daddy rode the dragon roller coaster!

But this was Zach's favorite ride - "Rest Area" - HA!

It was hot but fun!

Wore Grandma out - she was even too tired to swat the flies! ;)

Makayla grinning at her Poppops

Zach got baseball & golf a bit confused - He thought he should pitch the ball to Poppops to hit!

Zach kept having Grandma walk on all 4s - he thought it was hilarious (as did the rest of us)! She is a great sport!

Makayla with her Great Grandma

We were sad to say good-bye but so glad we got to spend some time with them! Couldn't ask for better great grandparents!

Zach got to try his first lollipop on our way to the airport

And we decided since he was over 2 now, we better just check him with the luggage! ;)

At least we are now guarunteed 3 seats together! :)

More room to sleep!
